Pawleese Ancestry.dog! Dolly, the Bullet Head?
I’m very proud of my canine ancestry. The Boston Terrier (aka Boston Bulldog) was the first native purebred dog in the United States!
Described as the “American Gentleman” we were accepted in 1893 by the American Kennel Club as a non-sporting breed. The AKC says we’re highly intelligent and easily trained.
During the early years, we were identified by different names, including Toy Bulldog, Round-Headed Bulldog and Bullet Head.
Dolly, the Bullet Head? Pawleeze! What were they thinking? We are a noble cross between the English bulldog and the French bulldog.
