DOLLY, THE BULLET HEAD?
I’m proud of my canine ancestry. Did you know that the Boston Bulldog (aka Boston Terrier) was the first native purebred dog in the United States?
Described as the “American Gentleman” we were accepted in 1893 by the American Kennel Club as a non-sporting breed. The AKC says we’re highly intelligent and very easily trained.
During the early years, we were identified by different names, including Toy Bulldog, Round-Headed Bulldog and Bullet Head.
Dolly, the Bullet Head? Pawleeze! What were they thinking?
We are a noble cross between the English bulldog, the French bulldog and the extinct White English terrier.
Do these cutie pawtooties look like Bullet Heads to you?
