SALVADOR DOLLY
Tap into your inner Salvador Dolly and let your imagination run free!
All you have to do is select a photo from the Draw Dolly page as your model, or color a page from the Color Dolly coloring book.
Rann Patterson did, and the fabric cards she designed are masterpieces!
The cards are only 5″ x 9″ so my mom Suzanne took photos and produced videos to showcase some of the intricate details.
Rann used a coloring page as her model.
She was inspired by the image and came up with a Masquerade Pawty theme!
“I chose the picture because I like the way Dolly is looking at you. Dolly just received an invitation to a masquerade pawty, and I think she is ready to get all dolled up, but I wonder what she will wear?” said Rann.
I adore the jester hat, the mask, the fuchsia bows and the elegant gown that Rann designed for me, don’t you?
The fabrics that Rann used for her creations were handpicked with love and they have great meaning and sentimental value!
For example, she made the monkey from fabric she found in her grandmother’s sewing stool (ca. 1954); she created the gorgeous treasure chest from bandannas that belonged to her beloved dog Jasmine; and the feather in the mask comes from ‘Sam the peacock’, a neighbor’s pet!
Click on the images in the Gallery below to see Rann’s buddhaful fabric cards in greater detail. They are amazing!
Be sure to read Rann’s blog posts about how she created the magnificent ‘Dolly Fabric Cards’ she gave me!
Her precious gift is a true treasure.
I love Rann and her adogable pooch, Bo Shih Tzu. They’re my furever Dolly Besties.
Wishing all of you a pawsitively Zen day!
Hugs and kisses,
♥ Dolly the Boston Buddha (aka Salvador Dolly)
Addendum: I have heartbreaking news. Buddhaful Bo Shih Tzu passed away. You will always have a special place in my little Buddha heart, sweet Bo. Kisses to you in Heaven ♥ Dolly
