DOLLY PAWCIRCLE Please hold hands and paws to form a powerful, virtual chain of love to honour my buddy Barnie. He is a blissful angel in Nirvana Heaven now, but life isn’t the same without him. He was my big teddy bear, my pawtector, and we loved to hang around together. His mommy Louise requested a Dolly PawCircle and asked me to post her buddhaful tribute. She wants efuryone to know how super special Barnie was.
Barnie will never be forgotten. I shall love him furever!
Dolly the Boston Buddha
I told him every day that he was the most beautiful and intelligent dog. He had many other qualities: a gentle nature, a keen awareness of everything that was going on around him, and he was friendly with every canine – big or small – and human he met. Barnie was loved by all; he had no enemies. He even won over people who feared big dogs.
Barnie was part of my day-to-day life for 13 years and that of Claude and Chica. We were like a family. I considered myself Barnie’s mom and Claude called him “my big boy”. The elegant Chica, also a Golden Retriever, became his “little sister”.
Barnie had a rug that was just large enough for him to sleep on. When Chica saw that he was going downhill, she displayed extraordinary affection. She took great pains to fit on the edge of the rug and they spent his last night together side by side. What a wonderful expression of empathy and compassion.
